I work collaboratively with clients and counsel in mediation, med-arb, and arbitration to deliver practical solutions to manage and resolve disputes in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

Based in the GTA, with a province-wide online practice, my work is focused on dispute resolution in corporate, commercial, condominium, estates, insurance (non-personal injury), and real estate (including Tarion disputes) and I have also mediated and arbitrated other types of disputes including construction, workplace, employment, family, multi-party, municipal infrastructure, and alternative energy/land use.

My mediation style ranges from facilitative to evaluative depending on the circumstances of the case, and the requests of the parties and their counsel. I encourage the use of med-arb as an integrated dispute resolution process in appropriate cases. In both med-arb and arbitration, my focus is on designing and managing a fair and efficient evidence-based process that is proportional to the dispute in question.

I often speak about ADR at webinars, conferences, and continuing education programs and have designed courses and programs for various colleges in Ontario. I have also been a part-time faculty member teaching ADR in the law school at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, and the co-author of ODR Yesterday. Today. Tomorrow., the first book on Online Dispute Resolution in Canada.
