Michael Schmidt has been practicing law in Ontario for 25 years. His practice involved working for plaintiffs and defendants. His practice areas included claims based on personal injury tort, accident benefits, LTD, WSIB, and all forms of property damage.

Michael began to mediate in 2010 in response to specific requests from the bar. He now mediates full time, and has mediated over 2000 matters covering a broad spectrum of insurance, and non-insurance related matters.

Michael strives to provide a process where all parties feel both comfortable, and engaged, allowing them to make important decisions about their case.

Mr. Schmidt graduated from the University of Toronto, with a B.Sc (with Distinction). He then completed his LLB at the University of British Columbia. Mr. Schmidt is a graduate of the Harvard Law Program on Negotiation.
